Live vs. Online Participation(Required)

I understand that due to communicable disease and weather restrictions, Club Meetings may be partially or fully conducted as online sessions. To participate, members should have the use of a computer, tablet or smartphone and be able to connect via ZOOM over the internet. Members are not obligated to attend any event in person; however, some meetings will be live only.

I understand that I retain all copyright of any images submitted to the Club for display, exhibition or competition. The Club may use these images for educational purposes and Club marketing and promotion purposes. The Club may not resell my images in any form without my consent.

I acknowledge and agree that the Barrie Photo Club and its directors, officers, members, volunteers, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any injury, loss, damage, or unfortunate experiences that I may encounter while participating in Club activities, including but not limited to photography outings, workshops, and events. I understand that photography-related activities may involve inherent risks, including but not limited to travel, environmental hazards, and equipment-related incidents. I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation and waive any claims against the Club arising from negligence or unforeseen circumstances. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Club from any claims, liabilities, or expenses that may result from my participation. I confirm that I have read and understood this waiver and that my typed signature at the bottom of this application constitutes a full and final release of liability involved during the outings and workshops conducted on behalf of the Barrie Photo Club. I hereby agree to assume all of these risks and to release and hold harmless all of the persons or entities mentioned in the document (read link below), Assumption of Risk, Waiver and Release of Liability, Including Negligence, who through negligence or carelessness would otherwise be libel to me or to my heirs or assigns for damages or to my minor child or to my child’s heirs or assigns.

Note: Membership privileges come into effect only after BOTH the application and payment have been received. This includes, but is not limited to attending monthly meetings, joining monthly outings, Facebook Club page access, and competition submissions.
